I had never realized just how un-democratic the election process was in America. Why? Superdelegates. It's like: "All people are equal... but some are more equal than others." *facepalm* And I thought things were complicated here in Canada. I was wrong.
Speaking of the election process, I hear Harper is pushing for a spring election. Woohoo... *unenthusiastic* What a choice us Canucks get: Harper or Dion. Blech. It's mighty disappointing, especially when we're inundated with the energy of the democratic Hilary Vs. Obama race.
Speaking of the lovely democratic candidates, here's a video that kinda tipped me over in favour of Obama, as much as I enjoy Hilary. It's Obama's speech in Virginia after he swept Nebraska, Washington State, and Louisiana.

Wow, that was amazing. It's sad that nowadays a politician saying the RIGHT thing is an anomaly. I mean, he may not even be telling the truth (but I'd love to believe that he is) but in recent times politicians have been able to say any crap that they want to and still get away with it. That's how screwed up the system is. I really really hope the US citizens vote for a change.
